About the CAC

The Kane County Child Advocacy Center (KCCAC) was established in 1994 to serve children of Kane County who have been sexually or severely physically abused. The Center is a building created to look like a house in downtown Geneva, Illinois. This makes it a child-friendly environment that provides a safe, confidential space for children and families.

The Kane County Child Advocacy Center investigates all reported cases of child abuse in Kane County and ensures coordination and cooperation among all agencies and resources. A Child Advocacy Center (CAC) increases the efficiency and effectiveness of trauma-informed services, minimizes the stress created by the investigatory and judicial processes, and ensures that effective treatment is provided to all child victims and their families.

Our Connection to the CAC

The CAC is a division of the Kane County State's Attoreny's office. As such, there are limited resources provided to the hundreds of children who walk through the doors yearly. We are able to provide things to the victims and their families that are above and beyond what the court process can give them.
